ABOUT PEGAH

Pegah Ghafoori is a multi-faceted Persian actress and singer/songwriter based in Toronto, Canada.
Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, she moved to Toronto in 2009. She attended Humber College in Toronto where she studied Emergency Telecommunication with a focus on Emergency Dispatching and graduated with Honours.
Pegah has always had a passion for the performing arts. At age 8, she got her first acting gig and won an award for creating and voicing a claymation. Tapping into her musical prowess, she released her first single titled Fall Apart at the age of 14. She started honing her acting skills in high school as a Drama Major studying in the Claude Watson Arts program.
In 2011, she professionally began her acting career, transitioning from theater to film. Known for the emotional connection she brings to her stage and on-screen performance, Pegah’s charming personality leaves you yearning for more. Since her debut into the film industry, she has starred in a variety of films, web series, and stage theatrics including 2018 feature film Hello Au Revoir. She has also had prominent roles in 2018 film Brave Kids Run, and 2020s drama film Home Run Ball.
Pegah has trained at various studios with prominent coaches and casting directors. She also studied with top industry professionals such as Lewis Baumander of LB Acting Studios and Sophie Ann Rooney of Rooney Actors Workshop (RAW).
After dedicating many years to professional training and gaining experience in the industry, she is currently signed with Daniel Abrams, at the highly reputable management company, Oscars Abrams Zimel & Associates Inc. (OAZ).
Earlier in her career, Pegah modelled for brands including designer eyewear brand, Hip Optical, and activewear brand, INDUSTRY. She has also walked several runways for local designers.
When she is not acting, you will find her teaching Lifeguarding and training with a private gymnastics coach. She is an avid gamer, and as much as she likes laughing, she also loves sharing a healthy dose of laughter with others. She loves to drive and with her, no car ride is a car ride without karaoke.
Pegah currently lives in Toronto with her adorable cat named Phoebe and despite the name, he is a boy.
